OPERATION OF ELECTRIC HOT PLATES
To switch on one of the hot plates, turn the
knob to the desired position.
Thenumbers1to6indicateprogressively
higher temperature settings.
As soon as boiling temperature is reached,
decrease the temperature setting in accordance
with the desired heat intensity. The hot plate
will continue to emit heat for about 5 minutes
after being switched off.
This hot plate, which has a limiter function,
provides:
-
rapid heating
-
best use of power using flat-bottomed pans
-
power limitation when using unsuita ble pans.

For melting (butter, chocolate).

For keeping food hot and heating small
amounts of liquids.

For heating large amounts of food,
preparing creams and sauces.

For slow boiling, e.g.: boiled meats,
spaghetti, soups, steam cooking, braising
and stewing.

For all types of frying, chops, steaks,
cooking without a lid, e.g. risotto.

HOW TO USE ELECTRIC HOT PLATES
When using electric hot plates:
-
turn the hot plate on only after placing the pan on it
-
avoid spilling liquids on the plates, especially when
they are hot
-
only use flat-bottomed pans (designed for use with
electric hot plates)
-
the diameter o f the p an should b e the same as the
hot plate or slightly larger.
An indicator light next to the knob will light
when the hot plate is switched on.
NOTE
The entire hob heats up when the hot plates are
in use and remains hot for some time after the
hot plates are switched off.
